Kindred Kindness Week is a gentle, community-led initiative inviting creatives to pause, connect, and practise kindness — toward others and toward themselves.
There’s no pressure, no performance, and no “right way” to take part. Just small, meaningful moments of care.
How it works
-
✨ Daily kindness prompts (shared below and will be posted daily on social media)
-
💜 Optional participation — join in as much or as little as you like
-
🌱 Focus on small, accessible acts of kindness
-
🎨 Open to all creatives and supporters
Daily Prompts — Join in as much or as little as you like. You don’t need to share publicly to take part.
Day 1 — Kindness to Yourself
Take a small moment today to care for yourself — rest, gentleness, boundaries, or permission to slow down all count.
Day 2 — Kind Words
Offer a kind word to someone — a friend, a fellow creative, or even yourself. It can be spoken, written, or quietly held.
Day 3 — Small Joys
Notice something that makes you smile today. It doesn’t have to be big — warmth, colour, music, comfort, or familiarity all count.
Day 4 — Creative Kindness
Support another creative in a small way: share their work, leave a thoughtful comment, recommend them, or simply witness what they’ve made.
Day 5 — Local or Everyday Kindness
Do something kind in your everyday world — helping someone nearby, offering patience, or making space for another person’s needs.
Day 6 — Gratitude
Pause to acknowledge something you’re grateful for — a person, a moment, a piece of work, or your own resilience.
Day 7 — Carry It Forward
Choose a way to carry kindness beyond the week — toward yourself, others, or the wider world. There’s no right way to do this.
We’ll be encouraging our community to take part in Random Acts of Kindness Day (February 17) as a way to continue the care and connection of Kindred Kindness Week.
Whether that kindness takes the form of a donation, helping someone locally, supporting a friend, or offering care to yourself, the choice is yours.
Kindness doesn’t have to be loud or public to matter.
